The question
Agro-PV plans in Israel must include an agricultural appendix (נספח חקלאי) that explains what will grow under the panels and how. Together, these appendices are the best picture of what the industry is actually proposing, but they sit as separate PDFs on the national planning site, one plan at a time.
What I did
- Pulled the full national list of agro-PV plans from the planning administration’s public data.
- Downloaded the agricultural appendix of every plan that has one, and extracted its contents: crop type, crops, soil, rainfall, slope, irrigation and panel layout.
- Built a public dashboard that shows the results, with a source quote behind every value. The plan list is checked every day, and new plans are flagged automatically.
What it shows
Of the 100 appendices that state a crop type, 68 propose field crops, 22 orchards and 10 both. The dashboard breaks the plans down by developer, soil class, irrigation, slope and panel layout.
Why it matters for a developer
Knowing what other plans propose, and what the planning committees have already seen, makes it faster to write an appendix that fits the site and holds up in review.
